Earl has been an engineer and prototyper for more than 25 years. Starting with mechanical engineering and computer science at Gonzaga University, he developed the first voice over public wireless networks to rural Alaska. Moving to the University of California, he deployed Internet-2 to the Bay Area campuses with Cisco. In private industry, he developed data protocols to optimize wireless traffic for Covad, Danger, and Venturi Wireless for Verizon, Tata and Reliance, and China Mobile. After a stint at San Francisco’s Exploratorium, he went back to consulting on prototyping mechatronics and robotic products. In 2014, Earl began designing and building the prototypes for Airspace Systems with Jaz Banga and Noah Moore.
